Reading Support K-5

Free Resource to Improve Your Child's Literacy

RSVP provides free virtual elementary literacy support, funded through grants.

Volunteers assist teachers in a variety of ways that enhance student learning, keeps students on track for success and narrow the academic equity gap.

How it works

Students Meet Volunteers

Students are matched with trained and screened volunteers via Zoom.

Students Practice Reading

The student reads an e-book using grade-leveled RazKids eBooks with various topics including science. Volunteers are reading coaches to help the student through the story.

Additional Practice

Reading coaches meet with their student online for 30-minute guided reading sessions twice a week. After reading, the pair will discuss the story together.

"My daughter really enjoys reading books at home now.

Her coach encourages her and helps her recognize words."
