You have prepared your organization to engage in strategic planning – i.e., conveyed the value of the process, determined what resources you’ll need and assembled the right team. Now it’s time to create the Strategic Plan.
So how do you build it?
Strategic plans can follow different outlines depending on the nature of the organization and past planning efforts. This interactive session will provide instruction, examples, and hands-on exercises to help you develop key components of your plan, including:
- Identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT)
- Articulating the organization’s vision, mission, and values
- Analyzing core competencies, competitors, and alliance opportunities
- Developing strategic intent statements
- Linking strategy to actionable goals

This session is the second in a series addressing strategic planning. The first session, Introduction to Strategic Planning, is on March 12; the third session, Implementation: Putting the Strategic Plan, is in May.
