Virtual Family Literacy Program
for preschool through Kindergarten children
Designed for children ages 4-5, this program utilizes Scholastic BookFlix. Fiction books are paired with nonfiction books and read to the child by volunteers to expose emerging readers to the magic of words and pictures books, preparing them to enter school as ready learners.
Children are paired with a screened volunteer reader for two 20-minute sessions per week.
Parents are invited to participate in virtual family literacy workshops to help empower them to help their children's emergent literacy skills at home.

Virtual Reading Program
for Students in Grades 1 - 5
Utilizing a platform developed by United Way, books are matched with a student's reading level through the Raz-Kids program.
Students read the story to the volunteer tutor online and then discuss the story together. This program tracks each student's reading progress and features a report to parents.
Volunteer tutors meet with their student online for 30-minute sessions twice a week.
