In The Spotlight : Brian McGarvey

This month, the volunteer spotlight highlights Brian McGarvey, Vice-President of RSVP’s Board of Directors and volunteer extraordinaire. Along with serving on our Board, Brian’s contributions include exemplary leadership in our Volunteer Executive Consultants program (VEC), as Co-Chair of our Strategic Planning Sub-Committee, and on our Special Events Committee which is heavily involved in concentrated efforts to cultivate corporate partners for the agency. Brian also supports our North Penn Area Field Office and is a member of the North Penn Action Committee. As our North Penn Area Field Coordinator, Esna Carver, so aptly puts it: “Brian is always willing to go the extra mile for RSVP and does everything with a smile. He is compassionate, caring and always patient.”

Brian, a cancer survivor, also volunteers at The Wellness Place (For the Cancer Community) in Lansdale. He serves there as the Program Facilitator of the Men’s Roundtable, a discussion and support group for male cancer patients, cancer survivors, and caregivers. 

Prior to joining RSVP, Brian held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Anchor Darling Industries, Inc., a manufacturing holding company headquartered in Radnor, PA.
